Designed in 1941 by Gundorph Albertus and named "Mitra", danish for a bishop's hat or "mitre", that form being reflected in the shape of the handles. Originally intended for production in silver, due to post-war silver shortage Canute/Mitra became Georg Jensen's very first steel cutlery.
